Every CatnBloom design can live in two places at once — TeePublic and Redbubble. That sounds simple enough, until you start comparing the actual shirts. Then the small differences start to matter.
Same artwork, different product
The artwork stays the same, but the product doesn’t.
Each platform has its own product range, garment styles, sizing, colors, printing methods, and production partners. That means the same design can look slightly different from one platform to the other. Redbubble itself notes that colors can vary between products because different products may use different printing methods, inks, and printers.
So if you’re choosing between the two, you’re not really choosing between two versions of the artwork. You’re choosing the version of the product that suits you better.
Sizing
This is one of the easiest differences to spot.
TeePublic’s current Classic T-Shirt size chart goes from S through 5XL, and its Classic Pullover Hoodie also goes through 5XL.
Redbubble’s sizing depends on the particular product and style, so there isn’t one universal size range for everything on the platform. That’s why it’s worth checking the size chart on the actual product rather than assuming that a size available on one garment will be available on another.
If you’re ordering for two people, especially when one of you needs a larger size, check the exact product first. It can save you from choosing a platform and then discovering that the particular garment you wanted isn’t available in your size.
Black, grey — and why colors can behave differently
Black and heather grey are easy choices for a lot of designs because they work with a wide range of artwork. But we wouldn’t treat any particular color as a universal “best seller” without our own sales data to prove it.
Red is a good example of why color should be checked on the actual product.
The same digital color doesn’t necessarily reproduce identically on every garment. Redbubble notes that printed colors can vary because of the product, printing method, inks, and printer, and that garments can appear more muted than colors viewed on a screen.
So rather than promising that one platform’s red will always look a certain way, our rule is simpler: if color matters to you — especially for a matching pair — it’s worth checking the product preview before you order.

Where the print goes
Two layouts you’ll see often are:
Full front, centered. The whole design sits where you expect it — front and center. It’s straightforward, easy to read, and works particularly well when the artwork itself is the main point.
Small front, big back. A quieter front with the larger design waiting on the back. It feels different without changing the artwork itself.
Neither is automatically better. It depends on how much of the design you want to show at first glance.
One more thing about printing
There is a small technical detail that can make a real difference with artwork containing white or fading colors.
For direct-to-garment printing, a white base layer is applied to dark garments before the color is printed. Redbubble specifically notes that this can affect gradients and transparent areas in a design.
In other words, a design file that looks perfect on your screen isn’t necessarily going to behave exactly the same way on every shirt color. That’s one reason we check the actual product previews rather than judging the artwork from the file alone.
What about the price?
Prices are set by each platform and may vary depending on the product and current platform pricing.
If you’re buying a pair
This is where the little differences become more noticeable.
If two people are wearing matching CatnBloom designs, we’d usually choose the same platform for both pieces. That keeps the garment style, color, and overall print appearance more consistent.
After that, it’s really personal: tee or hoodie, full front or back print, one color or another.
